University and post-graduate scholarships by the Japanese government (MEXT scholarship) for 2026

The Japanese government (Ministry of Education, Sports, Science and Technology: MEXT) is offering university and post-graduate scholarships for Luxembourgish nationals wishing to study in Japan from 2026.

    -University/Bachelor

  ・ The schedule of selection process is as follows (Subject to change);
    Friday 6 June 2025 : Deadline of application (Late applications cannot be accepted)
    During June: Documents screening by the Embassy
    One or two days between 23rd June and 15th July : Interview and written tests at the Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg
    After July : Second screening by MEXT
 
  ・Documents must be submitted to the Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg by hand, by post or by email.
     Please make sure all documents are handed in, and that the documents are not stapled.
         You are recommended to prepare the documents in advance because some documents need time to be prepared.
